Michael Wayne Rockers, age 66, of Greeley, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at Olathe Hospice House.

Mike was born on May 11, 1960, in Garnett, Kansas, the son of Louis J. and Evelyn (Pickens) Rockers. He attended Holy Angels Grade School through the eighth grade and graduated from Garnett High School in May of 1978. Mike lived all of his life in the Garnett and Greeley, Kansas, areas.

Mike had a wonderful childhood growing up alongside his brothers and sisters. He loved Christmastime, and his favorite toys growing up were Hot Wheels cars and tracks. As a boy, he enjoyed riding bicycles and driving farm tractors. In high school and throughout his younger years, he loved driving fast cars around town.

Mike married his high school sweetheart, Becky Miller, in December of 1979. From this union, they were blessed with four children.

Mike was a farmer throughout most of his life. He took great pride in working the land and taking care of his cows. For many years, he enjoyed driving a school bus, especially when his kids were on board.

Some of Mike's favorite moments were spent outdoors camping, going on canoe trips, and hunting. Above all, he cherished spending time with his children. He loved driving around the country with them, stopping at the crick to swim, fish, or skip rocks, and having them ride along on the tractor while he farmed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis J. and Evelyn Rockers; his Aunt Teresa Rockers; and his beloved dog, Taz.

Mike is survived by his four children, Sarah Rockers of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, Stacy Rockers of Garnett, Kansas, Shane Rockers and wife Hannah of Paola, Kansas, and Shawn Rockers and wife Kinsley of Greeley, Kansas; eleven grandchildren; two brothers, John L. Rockers of Dahlonega, Georgia, and Gary F. Rockers and wife Rosaline of Burleson, Texas; two sisters, Pamela A. Karlin and husband Gary of Baldwin City, Kansas, and Patricia Haley of Coal Hill, Arkansas; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
