Biography

Martha "Eva" Gregg, age 100, of Garnett, Kansas, entered into rest on Thursday, February 25, 2010.

Eva was born on November 16, 1909, at Garnett, the daughter of Charles and Grace (Gorrell) Ashburn.

She was united in marriage to Emmett Arven Gregg on June 2, 1927 at Garnett, Kansas.

Eva worked at Grennen's Produce and the Sewing Factory in Garnett.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Gregg on May 10, 1984; and two grandsons, James Richard Smith and Gary Lynn Gregg.

Eva is survived by her daughters, Evelyn Berns and husband Robert; Delores Gillespie and husband Larry; sons Robert Gregg and wife Naomi; Melvin Gregg and wife Joyce; sister Violet Davin; seven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 24, 2010, at the Garnett Cemetery in Garnett, Kansas.
