Gerald (Jerry) Davis

Gerald Allen (Jerry) Davis, age 87, of Iola, Kansas, passed away November 14, 2023, at Moran Manor, Moran, Kansas. Gerald was born July 10, 1936, in rural Redfield, Kansas, to Albert (Bert) Davis and Wilma (Boone) Davis.
Gerald graduated in 1954 from Uniontown High School, Uniontown, Kansas. He and Marilyn Stanley were married October 1, 1983, in Iola, Kansas. Gerald worked as an electric lineman for Rural Electric Cooperative.
Gerald liked being outdoors, quail hunting, and picking up pecans. He enjoyed working hard and always liked having a garden. Gerald and Marilyn liked to travel south for the winters.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Marilyn, of the home; children, Gayla (Mike) O'Dell, Steve (Debbie) Davis; step-children, Teresa (Toby) Ross, Tammie (Curtis) Cloud, Christina Bruner, Brenda (Brian) Riedel; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Family will greet friends from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 16, 2023, in The Venue at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Iola, Kansas.
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association, and may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service.
