Annette Meek

Marie Annette Meek, age 57, of Moran, Kansas, passed away April 4, 2022, at St. Luke's Hospital - Plaza, Kansas City, Missouri. Annette was born January 30, 1965, in Iola, Kansas, to Ronald E. Meek, Sr. and Peggy A. (Jones) Meek.

Annette worked as a waitress in various restaurants, a bartender at Rockin B, and the garment factory in Chanute, Kansas. She graduated in 1983 from Iola High School and attended college, studying to be a certified court reporter.

Annette loved watching the Kansas City Chiefs. She enjoyed music, collected small perfume bottles, and she was learning to embroidery. Annette also liked fishing, watching crime scene and detective shows on television, and she very much liked living in the city.

Annette was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Matthew Gunnar Meek.

Annette is survived by her daughter, Caitlyn Cleaver, Bronson, Kansas; brothers, Ron (Carol) Meek, Iola, Kansas, James (Jodi) Meek, La Cygnes, Kansas; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A visitation to honor Annette's life will be held on Monday, April 18, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in The Venue at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Highland Cemetery, Iola, Kansas.
