Agnes Hammer

Agnes B. Hammer, 95, of Iola, Kansas, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at the Allen County Hospital. Agnes was born March 29, 1918, on a farm west of Iola, the daughter of Rollin C. and Nellie (Bassett) Butler. On April 4, 1937, Agnes married Willard Hammer and they made their home and farmed on the family farm. He preceded her in death July 18, 2001. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Iola. SURVIVORS: 3 Sons: Alvin Hammer of Menifee, CA, Donald Hammer of Iola, KS and Lavon Hammer of Colony, KS 1 Sister: Esther Weiland (Les) of Iola, KS 6 Grandchildren & 9 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by a son, Rollin L. Hammer, and three sisters, Mildred Heffernon, Marion Hood and Grace Hartman. FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 19, 2013, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola.
