Alisha Lynn Finney, age 27, of Greeley, passed away on February 25, 2018, at her home. She was born on September 23, 1990 in Lawrence, Kansas, the daughter of James E. and Jackie (Irish) Finney. She graduated from Lakemary Center, Paola, Kansas in 2011. Alisha was one of thirteen foster children and the one of the four children that were adopted. She is the sole survivor of the nine that were handicapped. Alisha was shaken when she was 10 weeks old which left her quadriplegic, blind, and had a feeding tube, seizures, and mentally retarded. In spite of that, she chose to live to 27 years old. She lived in a dark world because the light hurt her eyes. Alisha enjoyed listening to music, and especially enjoyed picking out movies to watch with her family. Alisha was preceded in death by her father, James E. Finney; two brothers, Jalaani Finney and D'Ron Finney; two sisters, Heidi Issler and Jessica Michelle. She is survived by her mother, Jackie Finney and husband Curtis Madsen, of the home; biological mother and grandmother, Janniece Cambell and Doreen Hughes; and biological siblings, Dominique and Dalton. Alisha was a brave, strong and wonderful child. She will be missed by many. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at the Greeley City Cemetery, Greeley, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to Alisha Finney Memorial Fund. You may send your condolences to the family at
