Amanda Louise King, age 47, of Humboldt, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at the Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, Missouri.
Amanda was born on December 9, 1975, at Wichita, Kansas, to David Spearman and Karen (Bonham) Spearman. She grew up in Wichita, Kansas, where she graduated from Wichita Southeast in 1994.
Amanda was united in marriage to Michael King on October 12, 1996 at Fredonia, Kansas. They first made their home in Fredonia until moving to Neodesha in 1999. In 2006, they moved to Humboldt. Amanda worked at The Growing Place as a daycare provider, and then at Gates in Iola for several years, before returning to The Growing Place on a part time basis.
In her free time Amanda loved trips to Worlds of Fun in Kansas City and camping at Fall River, Toronto Lake and Beaver Lake in Arkansas. She especially enjoyed watching her boys play football and her daughter as a cheerleader. After being blessed with grandchildren, she loved spending time with them. Amanda cherished all of the concerts she was able to attend with her sister, she particularly loved George Strait and Reba.
She was preceded in death by her father, David Spearman, and a nephew, Tyler David Cook.
Amanda is survived by her husband of 26 years, Michael of the home; daughter, Kireston Thomas and husband, Anthony; two sons, Travis King and Summer Marie Leandry and Taner King; four grandchildren, Kaydence, Kyleigh, Lillyanna, and Donnie "Ducky"; mother, Karen Link and husband, John; brother, Alvin Keith and wife, Stacy; two sisters, Christina Keith and Michael Marler, and Kaylene Morse and husband, Tom; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, December 30, 2022, at the Faith Assembly of God Church, Humboldt, Kansas. Amanda's family will greet friends from 2:00-3:00 PM prior to the services on Friday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, Iola, Kansas. Services will be livestreamed through the church's Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/faithhumboldt .
