Barbara Creason

Barbara Joan Creason, 87, of Iola, Kansas, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2013, at Windsor Place in Iola. Joan was born March 12, 1926, at Harris, Kansas, the daughter of Emmett and Charlotte (Richardson) Reddington. She grew up at Harris and Garnett and graduated from Garnett High School. On January 12, 1944, Joan married Clifford L. Creason and they made their home in the Iola area all of their married lives. She worked as a sales clerk for Kress and J.C. Penney in Iola. Clifford preceded her in death January 31, 2012. Joan enjoyed square dancing when she was younger, quilting and playing cards. Her memberships include Salem United Methodist Church and Sunflower Quilters Guild. SURVIVORS: Her 3 Children: Harold Creason & wife, Janice of Bonner Springs, KS, Carol Perez & husband, Fidel of Kansas City, MO and Vinnie Wille of LaHarpe, KS 1 Sister: Jean Earl of Casper, WY 10 Grandchildren & 15 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her husband, son Darrell, great grandsons Cyrus Graham Burchett and Cole Michael Creason, sister Nadine Northway and brothers Thomas & Jack Reddington. FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola, where visitation will be an hour prior to the service.
