Benny Ray "Ben" Hardman, age 63, of Bronson, Kansas, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at his home in Bronson. He was born December 8, 1947, at Hastings, Nebraska, the son of Calvin and Mildred (Adkins) Hardman. He graduated from Las Lomas High School in Walnut Creek, California. Following school Ben began working at E.T. Mags in Benicia, California. He married Sharon L. "Rosie" Bracken on August 29, 1981 at Benicia, California. His career in die casting took Ben and his family to Michigan before they eventually made their way to southeast Kansas in 1986 living in Iola. Ben went on to open his own die cast manufacturing business in Bronson and eventually moved there in 1999. Ben and Rosie owned and operated Rosie's Landmark in Moran and Uncle Ben's in Bronson, Kansas. Ben was preceded in death by his wife, Rosie on November 3, 2010; parents, Calvin and Mildred; and a brother, Ronnie Hardman on July 28, 2011. He is survived by four brothers, Larry and wife, Candy, of Bend, Oregon, Kenny and Esther of Palmdale, California, Gary and wife Nancy of Bigfork, Montana; Barry and Patty of Newton, Kansas; one sister, Cheryl Hardman of Wichita, Kansas; sister-in-law Debbie Hardman of Agua Dulce, California; son, Rick Curl of Iola, Kansas; three daughters, Cheryl Rush of Tracy, California; Brenda Bassett of Hutchinson, Kansas; and Vicky Morgan of Farlington, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren, Kim Dodson, Chris Rouse, Rebecca Hanson, Brittany Jackson, Benjamin Jackson, Ariane Cottrell, Chenine Cottrell, Albert Cottrell, Briana Barnes, Taylor Curl, and Brandon Vinall, Heather Curl, Kristen Peppmeir, and Kimberly Brenneman and fifteen great grand- children. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, December 9, 2011 at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Moran. The family will greet friends following the service.
