Bernard Theodore "Ted" Gull, age 90, of Kincaid, Kansas passed away on December 30, 2011 at the Midland Hospice House, Topeka, Kansas. Ted was born on October 17, 1921 at Bush City, Kansas the son of Amzi Wilbur and Flora B. (Henderson) Gull. He grew up in the Bush City area attending country schools. Ted operated a mechanic shop in Bush City before he entered the US Navy. He served from 1942 to 1945 and was a WWII Veteran. He married Josephine Beginnes while in the Navy. Five children blessed this marriage. Josephine passed away in 1972. He married Donna B. Vezina Crunk on December 8, 1979 and added three stepchildren to his family. Ted worked as a mechanic for most of his life. He returned to Garnett, Kansas from the Navy, where he worked at Stockebrand Motors for twenty years. In 1968 Ted and his family moved to Delta, Colorado where he worked for Kings Toyota until he retired in 1986. Ted and Donna moved to Kincaid, Kansas in 1996. In his retirement he enjoyed playing guitar and singing with friends and was a member of the Iola Chapter of Kansas Old Time Pickers, Fiddlers and Singers. He also liked working on small engines. Ted was beloved by his family and friends and never knew a stranger. He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine; infant daughter, Mary Ann; his parents Amzi and Flora Gull; two brothers Joe and Wilbur; and three sisters, Sarah Hearnsberger, Sadie Ellis and an infant sister. Ted is survived by his wife, Donna of Kincaid; two sons, John Gull and wife, Teresa of Topeka, Kansas; Charles Gull and wife, Joyce of Kearns, Utah; two daughters, Connie Robinson and husband, Aaron of Craig, Colorado, Deena Hansen and husband Bryan of Magna, Utah; two stepsons, Roy Crunk of Stewartville, Minnesota, Michael Crunk and wife, Kathy of Grand Junction, Colorado; one stepdaughter, Terri Merriman of Denver, Colorado; fourteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one sister, Leola Williams of Hillsboro, Kansas. Cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be held at a later date in Delta, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice House, Topeka, Kansas or St. Luke's Hospice, Garnett and may be sent in care of Feuerborn Family Funeral Services, PO BOX 408, Garnett, KS 66032.
