Betty A. Robinson, age 66, of Neosho Falls, Kansas passed away Friday, August 17, 2018 at her home. Betty was the first of four children born to Richard and Opal (Chriestenson) Tidd. She was born April 30, 1952 at Iola, Kansas. Betty grew up in Neosho Falls, attending school there before graduating from Yates Center High School with the class of 1970. Following school, she attend cosmetology school in Fort Scott, Kansas. Betty married Jim Tarter in 1971; their union was blessed with three children. They later divorced in 1981. Betty was a very caring and compassionate person, working as a caregiver in area healthcare providers throughout her career. She was always willing to put others needs above her own. Some of her happiest times was taking care of her own family. On June 9, 1997, Betty married Raymond Robinson at the Assembly of God Church in Yates Center. They made their home in Neosho Falls after living in Fredonia for a brief time. Returning to Neosho Falls allowed Betty the opportunity to continue the special bond that she had with her mother. They were neighbors and they loved to garden together. Betty loved to cook and can her own produce. Feeding her family and friends was very important to her. She also liked to sew, making many items for family. Her greatest love and joy was her grandbabies. Betty was the rock of her family, instilling traits of hard work and the meaning of family in her children and grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her father, and one step-daughter, Sandra Bruner. She is survived by her husband, Raymond of the home; her children, Jason Tarter and wife, Jennifer of Gas, Kansas, Misty Fleming and husband, Bill of Iola, Kansas, and Wendy Byerley and husband, Teague of Pleasanton, Kansas; two step-children, Stevan Robinson of Yates Center, Kansas and Jennifer Otnas of Wichita, Kansas; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; her mother, Opal Tidd of Neosho Falls; two brothers, Gary Tidd of Piqua, Kansas and DeWayne Tidd and wife, Darcy of Monument, Colorado; and one sister, Mary Brayton of Neosho Falls. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, August 22, 2018 in the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service chapel, 1883 US Hwy 54, Iola. Burial will follow in the Cedarvale Cemetery, Neosho Falls. The family will greet friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Iola. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cedarvale Cemetery Fund and left in care of the funeral home.
