Betty Sue Whitaker

Betty "Sue" Whitaker, age 81, passed away at her home in rural Humboldt, Kansas, on October 12, 2024.

Betty Sue was born on December 17, 1942, to Raymond Dewey and Ida Angeline (Frye) Clements. In March of 1961, Betty Sue married Dean Whitaker. Together, they raised two children, Marsha and Curt.

Betty Sue was a lifelong resident of Allen County. Sue and Dean made their home East of Humboldt. There, they farmed and ranched.

Betty Sue was preceded in death by her parents, and husband.

She is survived by daughter, Marsha Whitaker; son, Curt Whitaker; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Betty Sue is planned for Tuesday, October 22, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service. This will be followed by a memorial service at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Allen County Animal Rescue Facility (ACARF).
