Betty Lucille Zink, age 95, of Iola, Kansas, passed away September 24, 2022, at Heartland Meadows, Iola, Kansas. Betty was born January 24, 1927, in Iola, Kansas, to John W, Parker and Flora M. (Schuster) Parker.
Betty graduated in 1944 from Iola High School. She and D. Duane Zink were married June 5, 1948. Duane passed on February 28, 2008. Betty and Duane owned and operated Zink's Liquor Store in Iola.
Betty was a member of the Lady Elks until they disbanded.
Betty was an avid bowler and she bowled for over 50 years. She liked doing ceramics and oil paintings.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brothers, Robert E. Parker, Francis L. Parker.
Betty is survived by Larry (Darlene) Parker, Fredonia, Kansas, Janet (Lewis) Bambick, Fredonia, Kansas, Pat Livingstone, Sedona, Arizona, Doyle (Debbie) Parker, Bartlesville, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Velma Zink, Spring Hill, Kansas; caregiver and friend, Rita Marnell, Iola, Kansas; and numerous other relatives and friends.
A graveside service to honor Betty's life will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 30, 2022, in Highland Cemetery, Iola, Kansas.
Memorials are suggested to Allen County Animal Rescue Facility (ACARF), and may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas.
