Beverly J. Ewing

Beverly J. Ewing, age 92, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2020, at Allen County Regional Hospital of Iola, Kansas.

Beverly was born July 21, 1927 to Earnest and Elsie (Wentworth) Wells in Iola, Kansas. She attended school in Iola and graduated from Iola High. She worked several years for Southwestern Bell Telephone before changing careers to work for the Iola School District as a cook, from which she retired after 30 years.

Beverly will be remembered for immense love for her late husband, Raymond LeRoy Ewing, family, and her grandchildren. It will be hard to forget her wry sense of humor, and her daily breakfast stops at McDonalds with her group of friends. She was an avid reader and was always up for a meal out.

Beverly is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond LeRoy, Ewing; son, John F. Trembly; and three brothers, William, Robert, and Richard Wells.

Beverly is survived by daughter, Johannah Harmon (Mark McMahan); daughter in law, Renee Trembly; stepson, Wesley Ewing; stepdaughter, Leann Llewellen; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.

Private family services will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2020. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery of Iola, Kansas. Beverly will lie in state at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US HWY 54, from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 for family and friends to come pay respects.
