Beverly King, age 70, of Moran, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kansas. She was born on October 20, 1941, at Garnett, Kansas, the daughter of George Franklin and Mae Amanda (Cass) Croan. She grew up in the Garnett area. In 1973 Beverly was united in marriage to Leo A. King. She was a homemaker, and she loved planting flowers, caring for animals, and collecting crafts. Beverly participated in area rodeos when she was younger. She also enjoyed country and western dances. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo in 2007; brother, George in 2010; and an infant brother and sister John Charles and Earlene Croan. She is survived by two sons, Dwayne Martin of Iola, Kansas; Michael King and wife Amanda of Humboldt, Kansas; three daughters, Annett Logan of Garnett, Kansas; Glenda Madison and husband Roger of Iola, Kansas; Julia Hall and husband Wayne of Uniontown, Kansas; one sister, Nellane Stussie and husband Gary of Lawrence, Kansas; close friend Gene Sadler of Arma, Kansas; and eleven grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2011, at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Garnett, Kansas. Inurnment will follow in the Garnett Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Covenant of Faith Christian Center and left in care of the funeral home.
