Beverly Runninghorse

Beverly Runninghorse, age 72, of Presho, South Dakota, passed away April 14, 2011 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka, Kansas. She was born May 30, 1938, in Tripp County, South Dakota, the daughter of Jesse Runninghorse and Elsie (Greenwood) Mang. She grew up in Presho, South Dakota and attended St. Joseph Boarding School in Chamberlain, South Dakota. Beverly was an independent, very organized and caring person. She helped the community by taking care of the elderly and was a housekeeper for many years. She loved flowers and making beautiful flower arrangements for friends and family members. She loved gardening and enjoyed the family visits for weddings, graduations and birthdays; but most of all she loved life. Beverly liked to attend the Living Water Fellowship Church in Gas, Kansas on her Kansas visits to her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Jesse Runninghorse; her mother and stepfather, Elsie and Gus Mang; one brother, Hobart Runninghorse. Beverly is survived by her brother, Robert A. Mang and wife Roberta of Schuyler, Nebraska; one sister, Christina Mang Culbertson and husband, Bill, of Topeka, Kansas; her Aunt and uncle, Cecilia and Ivan Hill of Welda, Kansas; Aunt Pheobe Mott of Gas, Kansas; 4 nephews, Joshua Mang, Eric, Aaron, and Andrew Culbertson and 4 nieces, Eugina Royer, Sharon Smith, Susanna and Debra Culbertson; as well as many cousins. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, April 22, 2011 at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service in Garnett, Kansas; burial to follow in the Richmond Cemetery, Richmond, Kansas. The family will be present to greet friends on Thursday evening at the funeral home from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to help defray funeral expenses.
