Kincaid, KS - Billie Adams, age 95, of Kincaid, Kansas passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at the St. Francis Hospital, Wichita, Kansas. Willamena Mae Bogan was born December 1, 1913, at Selma, Kansas, the daughter of Charles T. and Minnie (Smith) Bogan. She grew up in the Selma area attending grade school there and then Kincaid High School. Following school Billie married Merril M. Adams on February 14, 1932 at Welda, Kansas. The couple made their home on the farm near Kincaid. Billie was proud of the fact that was only place she lived before her passing. This union was blessed with six children. Billie was a homemaker and she enjoyed sewing, crocheting and handwork. Her wonderful cooking will be missed by her family. She was a member of the Kincaid Selma United Methodist Church. Billie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Merril, on December 27, 1992; a brother, Ted Bogan; and a son in law she loved as a son, Paul Hosley. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Charlene Hosley of Overland Park, Kansas, Wayne and Judy Adams of Lee's Summit, Missouri, Marvin and Olivia Adams of Eagle Pass, Texas, Sharilyn and Bill Lamb of Moran, Kansas, Lanet and Mike Lour of Carbondale, Kansas, and Calvin and Pamela Adams of Kincaid, Kansas; 21 grandchildren; 25; great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 4, 2009 at the Kincaid Selma United Methodist Church, Kincaid, Kansas. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Mildred, Kansas. She will lie in state after 8:30 a.m. on Friday morning at the funeral home in Moran. The family will greet friends from 6:00-8:00 PM, Friday evening at the funeral home in Moran. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kincaid Selma United Methodist Church and sent in care of the funeral home.
