Billy Caudell

Billy B. Caudell, Sr., 81, of Iola, Kansas, died Sunday, November 27, 2011, at his home. Billy was born June 27, 1930, on a farm 2 miles west of Buffalo, Kansas, the son of Tom and Bessie (Madison) Caudell. He grew up on the family farm and served in the United States Air Force. On December 23, 1951, Billy married Myrtle V. Hamilton and they moved to Iola in 1959. In his earlier years he worked in the oil fields and later worked as a heavy equipment operator. He worked at I.M.P. Boats, Haldex and various other jobs before retiring. SURVIVORS: His wife of almost 60 years: Myrtle Caudell of the home 1 Son: Billy B. Caudell, Jr. of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida 4 Daughters: Brenda Collis & huband, Bob of Odessa, TX, Glenda Stewart of Springdale, AR, Vada Gillespie & husband, Gil of Odessa, TX, and Ila Caudell & significant other, Deryl Sarver of Moran, KS 1 Sister: Ivy Bell Audiss of Yates Center, KS 15 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents and 6 brothers. VISITATION: 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola.
