Bob Arrowood

Bob Leon Arrowood, 80, of Iola, Kansas, passed away at Allen County Hospital on Monday, March 1, 2010. Bob was born July 8, 1929, in DePew, Oklahoma to Raymond and Leta (Rogers) Arrowood. The family moved to southern California when Bob was a small child. He served in the United States Air Force as a teletype operator from 1950 to 1954. After his honorable discharge from the service, Bob worked as a salesman, real estate agent and appraiser. He lived most of his years in various parts of California, moving to Kansas in 2006. On September 2, 1980, Bob married Linda Witt of Banning, California. SURVIVORS: His wife: Linda Arrowood of the home 1 Son: Raymond Arrowood & his wife, Sharie of Yucaipa, CA 1 Step-Son: Kevin Witt & his wife, Lucinda of Iola, KS 1 Brother: Ken Arrowood of Columbia, SC 1 Sister: Lorena Arrowood of Southern California 4 Grandsons: Jordon & Jeffery Arrowood of Yucaipa, CA; Brian Flattenger of Kansas City, MO; and Justin Witt of Iola, KS He has one nephew and two nieces. Preceding him in death are his parents and a niece, Debbie Stratzenski. Cremation has taken place. MEMORIAL SERVICE: 1:30 p.m., Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. The Rev. Steve Traw will officiate. MEMORIAL CHOICES: Alzheimer's Association or Allen County Hospice.
