Bobbie M. Edgeworth, age 89, of Greeley, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Golden Heights Living Center in Garnett, Kansas. Bobbie was born on February 23, 1922, in Neches, Texas, the daughter of Chester Arthur and Irene (Morris) Minshew. She graduated from Neches High School. She was united in marriage to Donald Mark Edgeworth on February 26, 1940, in Palestine, Texas. This union was blessed with two daughters. During the war years, Bobbie worked at the stockyards in Houston, Texas as a bookkeeper. She later worked at Texas Instruments. In 1949 they moved to Paola, Kansas where she worked at the Register of Deeds office in Miami County until moving to Garnett in 1958. Bobbie then began working as an office manager for BEHM at Greeley. In 1966 she retired to devote time to her family. In 1976 they moved to her current home near Greeley. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald Edgeworth on September 4, 1979; and one brother Chester Arthur Minshew II on July 31, 2010. Bobbie is survived by two daughters, Donna Fay Scheidt and husband Richard of Overland Park, Kansas; Frances Adrienne McCourt and husband Larry of Lane, Kansas; six grandchildren; Kevin Maloan and wife Nancy of Garnett; Brian Maloan and wife Laurel of Garnett; Mary Beth Strobel and husband Joe of Baldwin, Kansas; Larry David McCourt and wife Gretchen of Sherman Oaks, California; Molly Maloan of Gardner, Kansas; Lori Adam and husband Scott of Overland Park, Kansas; twelve great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and one sister, Uva Christine Mitchell of Palestine, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Garnett, Kansas. Burial will follow in the Garnett Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:00 - 4:00 on Sunday afternoon at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Golden Heights.
