Bobbie Ray "Bob" Morris, Sr., 67, of Iola, Kansas, died Monday, October 19, 2009, at the Allen County Hospital in Iola. Bob was born January 11, 1942, at Buffalo, Kansas, the son of Kenneth Allen and Onetta Marie (Audiss) Morris. He grew up in Iola and served in the United States Army in Korea. On August 1, 1962, Bob married Carolyn L. Cramer at LaHarpe, Kansas. They have made their home in the Humboldt and Iola areas. He was a truck driver having run flatbed, tanker, grain and box trucking. He drove for RVB Trucking in Iola before he retired. Bob was a member of the Nazarene Church in Humboldt until it closed. He was currently attending the First Baptist Church at Moran, Kansas. SURVIVORS: Wife: Carolyn L. Morris of the home 2 Sons: Toma F. Morris & wife, Lindsy of Iola, Kansas and Tony L. Morris & wife, Candi of Iola, Kansas 3 Daughters: Annie M. Kidwell & husband, Micheal of LaHarpe, Kansas, Tammie Mitchell of Iola, Kansas, and Towanda Belosic & husband, Jonathan of Iola, Kansas 3 Brothers: Marvin Morris & wife, Isabel of Wichita, Kansas, John "Jay" Morris & wife, Beverly of Andover, Kansas and Dennis Morris of Andover, Kansas 1 Sister: Datha Curbey & husband, Gary of Marshall, Texas 15 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by two sons, one in infancy and Bobbie Ray Morris, Jr. in 1996, two grandchildren, Jennifer M. Hunt and Alli Raylynn Morris and a brother, Kenneth Morris. VISITATION: 7-8:00 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. FUNERAL SERVICE: 1:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 23, 2009, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. The Rev. Michael Miller will officiate. BURIAL: Mount Hope Cemetery, Humboldt, Kansas, with military honors. MEMORIAL: Memorials are suggested to the Bobbie Ray Morris, Sr. Memorial Fund and may be left with the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel of Iola, which is in charge of arrangements.
