Brian Pozzie

Brian Pozzie, age 50 of Garnett, Kansas, passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2010, at the Anderson County Hospital in Garnett, Kansas. Brian was born on January 13, 1960 at Aurora, Illinois, the son of Jerry Louis Pozzie and Barbara (Reeser). He grew up in Aurora, and attended schools there. In 1977 Brian served in the U.S. Army. He was stationed in Germany, and was honorably discharged in 1980. Brian continued to live in Germany until 1983, when he returned to Aurora. He later worked as a foreman at Dearborn Publishing. In 1992 Brian moved to Orlando, Florida where he worked as a dock foreman at Pineloch Management. He was united in marriage to Gina Stripling on March 25, 1998 at Orlando, Florida. This union was blessed with two sons, David and Stephen. Brian enjoyed his children's baseball games and babysitting. He was a member of the Garnett V.F.W. He was preceded in death by his father. Brian is survived by his wife, Gina Pozzie and sons David Brian Pozzie and Stephen Ray Pozzie all of the home; sons Joshua Curtis Daniels of Sandwich, Illinois; Jerry Brian Pozzie Jr. of Germany; stepdaughter Bobbie Jean Hipps of Chanute, Kansas; his mother Barbara Gammon of Orlando, Florida; two granddaughters, Alexis and Addilyn, and his two brothers, Norman Pozzie of Orlando, Florida and Kevin Pozzie of St. Cloud, Florida. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 23, 2010, at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Garnett, Kansas. Burial will follow in the Garnett Cemetery. Family will be present to greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday evening at the funeral home in Garnett. Memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Education Fund.
