Burma Gonzalez

Burma June "B.J." Gonzalez, age 76, of Moran, passed away April 12, 2015 at Olathe Medical Center. She was born in Carneiro, Kansas, on May 17, 1938 to Wayne and Thelma (Brady) McCall. She was later joined by two brothers, Dan and Randy McCall. Her family lived in several places before settling on a farm outside of Moran. She graduated from Moran High School in 1956. Burma married Cyrus "Bud" Townsley in 1956 and they made their home in Wichita, Kansas, where they raised three children, Lance, Billy, and Sandra. She later married Ray Gonzalez and they resided in Bronson, Kansas. Burma loved camping, gardening, flowers, and playing cards. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ray in 2013; and her son, Lance, this past January. Burma is survived by two children, Bill Townsley and wife Celia of Oceanside, California; Sandra Drake and husband Daryl of Moran, Kansas; two brothers, Dan McCall and wife Donna; Randy McCall and wife Audrey; all of Moran; 8 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, April 16, 2015, at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Moran, family will greet friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
