Carol Lynn Sinclair, 66, of Iola, Kansas, died Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. Carol was born June 1, 1944, on a farm west of Humboldt, Kansas, the daughter of Raymond C. and Madelene (Hartwig) Ostrander. She attended rural elementary school at Cuppy west of Humboldt and then graduated from Humboldt High School in 1961. She attended Iola Junior College and made her home in Iola. Over the years, Carol worked for the A.S.C.S. office, H.L. Miller & Son Dress Factory and Carder Oil. She was married to Harry L. Sinclair. Her memberships include the American Legion Auxiliary and St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Humboldt. SURVIVORS: Husband: Harry Sinclair of the home 3 Children: Todd Sinclair & wife, Gina of Andover, KS; Traci Sinclair of Iola, KS; and Tim Sinclair & wife, Dedra of Wichita, KS 8 Grandchildren: Kerstin, Chance, Castin, Halye, Todd Jr., Grant, Emma and Sarah 3 Great Grandchildren: Kaden, Kytalynn and Isaiah 3 Brothers: Jack Ostrander of Lucas, TX; Keith Ostrander of Winchester, KS; and Ken Ostrander of Salina, KS 6 Sisters: Beverly Cox of Wichita, KS; Donna Lower-Nord of Iola, KS; Marilyn Carpenter of Grand Island, NE; Janice Anderson of Bella Vista, AR; Madlyn Adams of Olathe, KS; and Judith Rutledge of Humboldt, KS She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Homer Eugene Ostrander, and two infant sisters, Joyce and Kathy. Cremation has taken place. MEMORIAL SERVICE: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 24, 2010, at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Iola. The Rev. Trudy Kenyon Anderson will officiate. INURNMENT: St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Humboldt, Kansas, at a later date. MEMORIAL: The Carol L. Sinclair Memorial Fund Memorial gifts may be left with the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel of Iola, which is in charge of arrangements.
