Cecil Ray McClure, 73, of LaHarpe, Kansas, died Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at the Kansas Heart Hospital in Wichita. Cecil was born July 9, 1938, at Bassett, Kansas, the son of Leslie K. and Louise (Michael) McClure. He grew up in Iola and lived in this area all of his life. On April 21, 1963, Cecil married Jeanne W. Oshel in LaHarpe. He worked as a mechanic for various places in Iola including the Sinclair Station and Moore's Auto Supply. He has resided in LaHarpe since 1990. He enjoyed fishing. SURVIVORS: Mother of his children: Jeanne McClure of Iola, KS 5 Daughters: Jeanne Witchley & husband, Ted of LaHarpe, KS, Marianne Morris & husband, Ken of Humboldt, KS, Angela Hale & husband, James of Seminole, OK, Linda McClure of Oklahoma City, OK and Virginia Shaffer of Iola, KS 2 Brothers: Jerry McClure of Fredonia, KS, and Steve McClure of Uniontown, KS 1 Sister: Margie Schooler of Dewey, OK 10 Grandchildren: Vanessa, Amanda, Crystal, David, Timothy, Christian, Katie, Christopher, Jacob and Rachel 8 Great Grandchildren: Abigail, Alora, Gabby, Dylan, Izabella, Alleyah, Terry and Lilly He was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Jeanine Gayle McClure and Sherrianne McClure, infant son Cecil Ray McClure, Jr. and brother Arthur D. McClure. Cremation has taken place. MEMORIAL SERVICE: 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 14, 2012, at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola.
