Charlene Helen Tripp

Charlene Helen Lasater Tripp, age 85, went home to her heavenly Father on June 19, 2023, at LaVerna Senior Living in Savannah, Missouri.

Charlene was born on June 18, 1938, to Kenneth and Helen Lasater, in Chanute, Kansas.

Charlene was married to John Henry Tripp, Jr. on November 1, 1959, in Pittsburg, Kansas. This union was blessed with three children.

Charlene worked at Newman Young Clinic in Fort Scott, Kansas, for years until she decided to finish her education and she ended her career as the Professor of the Radiology program at the University of Southern Indiana.

Charlene loved her family and her faith in God. She could be found often outside tending to her flowers and all her little animals. She was a member of the Ft. Scott Community Christian Church, later a member of the Crossroads Christian Church, as well as The First Baptist Church for a brief time while living in Iola.

Charlene was preceded in death by her parents; and her loving husband of 45 years.

Charlene is survived by her children, Suzanne (Steve) Pantano of Connecticut; Joanna Tripp of St. Joseph, Missouri; Christopher Tripp of Kansas City, Kansas; and grandchildren Caleb Thomas; Tristen Morgan; Dylan and Jesse Pantano; and Taylor Tripp.

Graveside services for Charlene Tripp will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Highland Cemetery, Iola, Kansas. Memorials are suggested to the the Alzheimer's Association, and may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Hwy 54, Iola, Kansas 66749.
