Charles Adams

Charles Adams, 84, former long-time Wichita resident, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Iola Nursing Center. Charles was born October 8, 1928, in Bordentown, New Jersey, the son of Charles E. and Jessie May (Brady) Adams. He grew up in the New Jersey area and served in the United States Navy. On July 8, 1959, Charles married Margaret Bently in Wellington, Kansas, and they made their home in Wichita where he worked as a piano tuner. She preceded him in death and he recently moved to Iola. His memberships include the American Legion and V.F.W. in Wichita. SURVIVORS: 7 Children: Patsy Horn of Colony, KS, Judy Moffit of Bloomingdale, GA, Charles Adams, Jr. of Wichita, KS, Nancy Tomes of Wichita, KS, Gary Adams of Wichita, KS, Preston Adams of Texas and Tommy Frye of Haysville, KS 16 Grandchildren and a number of Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son-in-law Richard Horn and daughter-in-law Susie Adams.
