Charles W. "Chuck" Ulery, Jr., 61, of Gas, Kansas died Saturday, August 14, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. Chuck was born July 28, 1949 in Pittsburg, Kansas, the son of Charles W. and Patricia AnnRita (O'Donnell) Ulery, Sr. He graduated from Iola High School in 1968 and then served two years with the United States Army in the Vietnam War. On January 10, 1973, Chuck married Marilyn Reed and they made their home in Gas. He was a truck driver and over the years drove for Quality Packaging, Eureka Crude, Ellsworth, R.V.B., and Transwood. He was presently driving for CTS. SURVIVORS: Wife: Marilyn Ulery 1 Daughter: Tammy Lynn Ulery 1 Sister: Catherine E. "Kay" O'Mara and husband, John Mother-In-Law: Dorothy Reed 3 Grandchildren: Charles Dalton Ulery, Trevor Lee Hawley, and Kaitlyn Elaine Larson He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Trena Lee Ulery. FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 19, 2010, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola.
