Cheryl Tedder

Cheryl Elaine Covey Tedder, 64, of Iola, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2015, at Iola Nursing Center. Cheryl was born July 13, 1951, in Nevada, Missouri, the daughter of John Isaac and Opal Geneva (Simmons) Covey. She graduated from high school in Independence, Kansas. On May 15, 1972, Cheryl married Michael Tedder. They later divorced. She moved to Iola in 2004 from Nevada, Missouri. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially time with her grandson Paul more than anything. Her hobbies were cross stitch and reading. She loved going to church and became a part of the First Christian Church family when she moved to Iola in 2004. She was a very passionate mother and grandmother. SURVIVORS: 1 Son: Jarrod Tedder & wife, Sherlyn of Pratt, KS 1 Grandson: Paul Michael Tedder of Pratt, Kansas 1 Brother: Robert Covey 1 Sister-In-Law: Priscilla Covey of Nevada, MO 2 Nephews: David and Clinton Covey She was preceded in death by her parents, brother John David Covey and 2 infant brothers. FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:00 a.m., Friday, Oct. 9, 2015, at First Christian Church in Iola.
