Christina Marie "Christy" (Bennett) Walden, 32, of Iola, Kansas, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2014, at the Overland Park Regional Medical Center. Christy was born September 25, 1981, in Iola, the daughter of Robert and Mary (Dietrich) Bennett. She grew up in Iola, Kincaid and Texas before returning to Iola. She graduated from Iola High School in 2000. On June 23, 2013, Christy married Mitchal Walden. She was a CMA/CNA at Fountain Villa Assisted Living in Iola. SURVIVORS: Husband: Mitchal Walden of the home 1 Child: Phoenix Rayne Walden of the home Her Parents: Bob & Mary Bennett of Iola Mother-In-Law: Shelly Walden of the home 1 Brother: Robert Bennett of Iola 1 Sister-In-Law: Kimberly Sigler of Iola Grandparents: Les & Rita Dietrich of Colony She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Seth "Andy" Bennett and Morgan Bennett. Cremation had taken place.
