Claude Roberts

Claude Edward Roberts, age 69, of Chanute, Kansas, passed away December 16, 2022, at Menorah Medical Center, Overland Park, Kansas. Claude was born July 21, 1953, in Chanute, Kansas, to Gerald E. Roberts and Gladys (Larson) Roberts.

Claude graduated in 1971 from Chanute High School, Chanute, Kansas. He went on to attend college and graduated from Pittsburg State University with a bachelor's degree in engineering technology. Claude enlisted in military service, serving ten years in the United States Navy as an IT specialist. After serving his country, Claude worked as an IT specialist for Halliburton and was later self-employed as an IT specialist.

Claude enjoyed technology and computers. He spent a lifetime working in cyber-security and computer technology. He enjoyed traveling the world and especially the time he spent in Italy, where he loved eating Italian food.

Claude was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Gerald E. Roberts, Jr.

Claude is survived by sisters, Florence Metz, Joyce Wilhite, Lillian Naylor; and numerous other relatives and friends.

There will be a memorial service for Claude at the Fort Scott National Cemetery, Fort Scott, Kansas, on Monday, June 3, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow the memorial service.

Memorials are suggested to Zion Lutheran Church, Chanute, Kansas, which may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway, Iola, Kansas.
