Cleo B. Callihan, age 90, of Richmond, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at Richmond Healthcare Center, Richmond, Kansas. She was born April 2, 1927, in Green City, Missouri, the daughter of William and Alta B. (Harrelson) Hamilton. Cleo grew up in Kirkwood, Missouri, attending school there. She moved to Milan, Missouri following school. Cleo married Gail P. Callihan and this union was blessed with six sons. They later divorced. They made their home in Milan and later moved to Kansas City, Missouri. Cleo lived in Olathe for several years while working at S.O.R. Manufacturing in Lenexa. After retiring in 2002 she moved to Garnett, Kansas. Cleo enjoyed going on early morning walks and reading books. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren while they were growing up. Cleo was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gail P. Callihan; two sons, Donald Callihan and Lyndal Callihan; three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by four sons, Richard G. Callihan of Garnett, Kansas, Melvin Callihan of Milan, Missouri, Jack D. Callihan of Cleveland, Ohio, and Russell Callihan of Olathe, Kansas; six grandchildren, Cheryl A. Lies, Christine L. Williamson, Anthony C. Callihan, Sherry Wheaton, Tommy Callihan, and Theresa Callihan; 11 great grandchildren; and four step-great grandchildren; sister, Frances Left of Illinois. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM, Monday, July 24, 2017 at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel, Garnett, Kansas. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 PM, in the Forest Hill and Calvary Cemetery, 6901 Troost Avenue, Kansas City, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cleo Callihan Memorial Fund.
