Clifford L. Heisler, 82, of Humboldt, Kansas, died Sunday, April 4, 2010, at his home. Clifford was born April 3, 1928 in Pawnee, Oklahoma, the son of Henry John and Minnie Elizabeth (Myers) Heisler. He grew up at Pawnee until the family moved to a farm west of Elsmore, Kansas in 1944. On April 10, 1951, Clifford married Irene Martin at Perry, Oklahoma. They made their home west of Chanute for a few years before moving to a farm northwest of Elsmore. In 2001, they moved to Humboldt. Serving the Lord and his love for his family and friends were what brought him joy. SURVIVORS: His wife: Irene Heisler of the home 4 Children: Shirley Peck & husband, Jeff of Forest City, Iowa, Max Heisler & wife, Beverly of Zenda, Kansas, Beth Queen & husband, Rick of Wichita, Kansas, and Ken Heisler & wife, Laura of Humboldt, Kansas 1 Sister: Alice Sundquist & husband, Eric of Independence, Kansas 11 Grandchildren & 19 Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Kohlie Crawford, two brothers, Donald and Harold Heisler, a sister, Dorotha Turner and a nephew, Darrell Turner. VISITATION: 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 8, 2010 at the Iola Recreation Community Building at Riverside Park in Iola. BURIAL: Mount Hope Cemetery, Humboldt, Kansas MEMORIAL: Allen County Hospice Memorial gifts may be left with the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel of Iola, which is in charge of arrangements.
