Clifford L. Muntzert

Clifford L. Muntzert, age 82, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2021 at his home in Iola, Kansas.
Clifford was born November 16, 1938, near Moran, Kansas. He was the son of Fred and Ida (Smoot) Muntzert. The family moved to the Bronson, Kansas area around 1942. Clifford attended South Fairview School for eight years and then completed his high school education in Uniontown, Kansas after he and his parents moved there.
After his father passed away in 1965, Clifford and his mother moved to LaHarpe and then to Iola where Clifford resided the rest of his life. He married Barbara Robinson on August 23, 1959. The had four children together, Terry, David, Mike, and Susan. Clifford worked for IMP Boats from 1959 to 1980. He then worked for KDOT until he retired in 2001.
His hobbies were hunting, fishing, gardening, and traveling. He also enjoyed the senior citizen dances as much as he could and was an avid KU, Kansas City Chiefs, and Kansas City Royals fan!
Clifford is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Everett Muntzert; and sisters, Thelma Wiklund and Pauline Watson.
Clifford is survived by children, Terry Muntzert, David Muntzert and wife, Christine, Mike Muntzert and wife, Sarena, and Susan Ingels and husband, Mark; grandchildren, Terry Muntzert Jr. and wife, Jennifer, Dalton Muntzert, Kody Daum and wife, Khrista, Kaleb Muntzert, and Keri Hyden and husband, Robert; great-grands, Lily, Dakota, James, Kinsley, Kimbree, and Madilyn; and numerous other family members and friends.
A celebration of life service in honor of Clifford will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, March 22, 2021 at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service in Iola, Kansas. The family will greet friends from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. prior to the service. Memorials in honor of Clifford are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association and may be left with the funeral home or mailed to 1883 U.S. Highway 54, Iola, Kansas, 66749.
