Clinton Boyd

Clinton Lee Boyd, 78, of Iola, Kansas, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Asbury Park Health Care in Newton. Clinton was born October 7, 1934, in Gas, Kansas, the son of Clinton Pruitt and Sylva Louise (McClure) Boyd. He graduated from Iola High School and Iola Junior College. He made his home in Iola except for living in Humboldt from 1973 until 1989. He worked forty years for the Kansas Department of Transportation as an engineer-technician before retiring. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf. He was a member of the Christian Church. SURVIVORS: 2 Sons: Phillip Boyd of Humboldt, KS and Steven Boyd of Wichita, KS 3 Daughters: Terisa Garrison & husband, Robert of Keenesburg, CO, Kathy Trimble & husband, Jeff of Valley Center, KS and Yvette Robb & husband, Gordon of Iola, KS 1 Sister: Karen Trester of Gas, KS 5 Grandchildren & 8 Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Phillip and David. VISITATION AND GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Friends and family will meet at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola, Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. for visitation before leaving for the LaHarpe Cemetery for graveside services at 11:00.
