Clyde L. Manbeck, 80, of Iola, Kansas, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2015, at the Allen County Regional Hospital. Clyde was born February 15, 1935, on the family farm west of Moran, Kansas, the oldest of ten children born to Everett and Thelma (Cloyd) Manbeck. He grew up on the farm, attended Golden Prairie Rural School and graduated from LaHarpe High School in 1953. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954 until 1959. On April 12, 1959, Clyde married Marilyn K. Kincheloe at Trinity United Methodist Church in Iola. He worked for Gibson's Discount Store in retail management and retired from Pamida. The family made their home in Kansas, Missouri, Minnesota, Nebraska, Colorado and Oklahoma following his career with the company. After he retired, they moved to Iola and made their home on Marilyn's family's home place. Clyde was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Iola and was an avid fisherman.
