Connie Vest

Connie Marie Vest,64, of LaHarpe, Kansas, died Monday, November 9, 2015, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita, Kansas. Connie was born May 22, 1951, in Yates Center, Kansas, the daughter of Isaac and Lucille ( Parks ) Bohard. She graduated from Yates Center High School. Over the years Connie worked in area nursing homes as a certified nurses aide, certified medication aide, and an activities director. On February 27, 1976, she married Leonard A. " Buster " Vest and they made their home in LaHarpe. They moved to Iola for several years before returning to LaHarpe to live. She enjoyed making jewelry, going to garage sales, and pony pulls. SURVIVORS: HUSBAND: "Buster" BROTHER: Joe Parks and wife Linda of Yates Center Numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Virgil H. Bohard VISITATION: 6:00 until 8:00 Thursday evening, November 12th, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel. Cremation will follow the visitation with inurnment at a later date in the LaHarpe Cemetery. MEMORIALS: Connie Vest Memorial Fund and they can be left at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel.
