Connie Eddings

Connie Osborn-Eddings, age 69, of Greeley, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Parkview Heights in Garnett, Kansas.
Constance Marie Wolken was born on February 3, 1954 in Garnett, Kansas. She was one of five children born to Bernard and Anna Marie (Sommer) Wolken. She graduated from Greeley High School in 1972.
Connie married John Lee Osborn on November 26, 1972. This union was blessed with six children, Jason, Jeremy, Joseph, Jennifer, Josh, and Jesse. The union ended after twenty years of marriage. She married Troy Eddings on July 5, 1996 and this union was blessed with one child, Cheyenne. This union ended July 14, 2021.
Connie resided in Greeley, Kansas her entire life. Through the years the jobs she held included: the Garnett Sewing Factory; working in the packaging department at JC Penney Distribution Center; directing traffic at Hamm Construction; waitressing at The Farm Shed; and lawn care for the local cemeteries. She loved to shop, collect various items, paint, refinish furniture and spend time outdoors gardening, tending to flowers and mowing. She also enjoyed collecting and wearing jewelry, baking, trying new recipes and especially enjoyed baking cookies and candy at Christmas time.
Survivors include seven children; John Jason Osborn of Wathena, Kansas; Jeremy Osborn of Ottawa Kansas; Joseph Osborn of Garnett, Kansas; Jennifer Tanner and husband Larry of Pittsburg, Kansas; Joshua Osborn of Greeley, Kansas; Jesse Osborn of Greeley Kansas; and Cheyenne Eddings and fiancé Billy Dickinson of Garnett, Kansas; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Myron Wolken and wife Becky of Beloit, Kansas and Joseph Wolken and wife Claudette of Greeley, Kansas; sister, Colette Spencer; sister-in-law Christy Wolken; eight nieces and three nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Bernard Wolken and Anna Marie Wolken-Kratzberg; her brother Gerald "Garry" Wolken; brother-in-law Gary Spencer; and nephew Craig Spencer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 10, 2023 at St. John's Catholic Church, Greeley, Kansas. Burial will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery, Scipio, Kansas.
