Craig Lee Michael, age 68, of Iola, Kansas, passed away July 11, 2023, at his residence. Craig was born September 7, 1954, in Iola, Kansas, to Charles Dean Michael and Marian M. (Hurlock) Michael.
Craig graduated in 1973 from Iola High School. He worked for Alco Drilling Company and then later he worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator.
Craig enjoyed fishing, working on cars, and spending time with his family. He was an old school hotrod guy, fondly known by his friends as "Rocketman."
Craig was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Scott Michael.
Craig is survived by sons, Ryan Michael, Iola, Kansas, Aaron Michael, Snyder, Texas; six grandchildren, Madison Michael, Hayley Michael, Taylor Michael, Laila Michael, Logan Michael, Loryn Michael; brothers, Bruce (Tricia) Michael, Jeff (Vanessa) Michael; sisters, Deana Foster, Marty Michael, Jill (Mark) Lynn; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Cremation will take place and no services are planned at this time.
Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association, and may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas.
