Croley Stroud

Susie Croley Stroud, 63, of Kansas City, Kansas, died Friday, January 14, 2011, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. Susie was born March 14, 1947, in Iola, Kansas, the daughter of Earl V. and Mildred C. (Seeber) Croley. She grew up in Iola and graduated from Iola High School in 1965. On January 4, 1967, Susie married Eugene Stroud. They made their home in Kansas City, Kansas. She worked at Morris Elementary School 19 years as a teacher's aide before retiring in 2006. SURVIVORS: Her Husband of 44 years: Gene Stroud of the home 1 Son: Bud Stroud & wife, Kim of Prairie Village, KS 1 Daughter: Brandey Stroud of Kansas City, KS Her Mother: Mildred C. "Midge" Ansell of Iola, KS 1 Brother: Earl Croley, Jr. of Iola, KS 4 Step-Sisters: Donna Spillman, Janie Henderson, Vicky Fowler and Mary Sigler 2 Grandchildren: Kelsey & Collin She was preceded in death by her father and sister, Betty Lou Croley. FUNERAL SERVICE: 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. Pastor Steve Traw will officiate.
