Curtice E. Call, age 85, of Forsyth, Missouri, formerly of Mildred, Kansas passed away, Friday, January 7, 2011 at his home in Forsyth. Curtice was born on July 10, 1925 in Mildred, Kansas, the son of Clifford and Emma (Hackett) Call. He graduated from Mildred High School. Curtice resided in Mildred, Kansas until 1987 when he retired to Forsyth, Missouri, where he has lived since. He was united in marriage to Shirley Ray on August 18, 1945. She preceded him in death. Curtice married Mary Ann Burrows on December 31, 1983. Curtice was a lifelong farmer/dairy farmer in the Mildred area until retiring to Missouri. He continued to work, riding a tractor mowing the golf courses in Pt. Royale in Branson, Missouri for many years. He enjoyed watching all types of sports, especially the Kansas City Chiefs and St. Louis Cardinals. He also loved to watch western movies. Curtice never met a stranger and loved telling stories, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He was also a member of the Methodist Church. Curtice was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, one sister; and his first wife, Shirley Call. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Call of the home; two sons, Steve Call and wife Liz of Kansas City, Kansas; Dennis Call and wife Dianne of Great Bend, Kansas; three daughters, Susan Sander of Garnett, Kansas; Diane Myers and husband Wayne of Derby, Kansas; Loretta Perin and husband Bobby of Forsyth, Missouri; three stepsons, Steve Dunn of Forsyth, Missouri; Greg Dunn of Sandy, Utah; Roy Dunn of Louisville, Kentucky; Seventeen grandchildren; and Nine great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, January 10, 2011 at the Mildred United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Mildred. The family will greet fiends from 5:00-7:00 PM, Sunday evening at the funeral home in Moran. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and left in care of the funeral home.
