Dale P. Baker, age 52, of Colony, Kansas, died on Sunday, May 31, 2009, at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. Dale was born on April 9, 1957, at Streator, Illinois, the son of Ray T. Baker and Ruby Elizabeth (O'Dell) Baker Stokowski. He was united in marriage to Margaret Watts on October 6, 1979, at Minonk, Illinois. This union was blessed with five children. Dale enjoyed fishing, hunting, and two times he shot two deer with one bullet. He also enjoyed woodworking and making doll furniture, but his greatest joy was his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Raymond and Lenny. Dale is survived by his wife, Margaret Baker, of the home; two sons, Mark Watts of Illinois; Michael P. Watts and wife Becky of Waverly, Kansas; three daughters, Crystal Lyda and husband Billy of Colony, Kansas; Reasa Horne and husband Randy of Neodesha, Kansas; Bodi Baker of Topeka, Kansas; twelve grandchildren, Paige, Shaelyn, Alexzandria, Kimberleigh, Marissa, Gordon, Ana, Anna, Ashley, Megan, Morgan, and Bill; two brothers, Daniel Baker of Minonk, Illinois; Gary Baker of Minonk, Illinois; and one sister, Sandy Hardt of Minonk, Illinois. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2009, at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Colony, Kansas. Inurnment will follow at the Colony Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday evening, June 5, 2009, at the funeral home in Colony.
