Dale E. Freidline, age 81, of Kincaid, Kansas, died on Saturday, July 19, 2008. Dale was born on August 31, 1926, in Caney, Kansas, the son of George and Mary (Ellingworth) Freidline. He served in the Navy during World War II on a transport ship in the Pacific Ocean. He was united in marriage to Bertha Mae Strope on March 17, 1947, in Caney, Kansas. Dale was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Kincaid, Mirza Shrine of Pittsburg, and American Legion and VFW of Garnett. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Glenda Jeanette Freidline in 1952; and two brothers, Keith and Paul Freidline. Dale is survived by his wife, Bertha of the home; three sons, Dale Freidline Jr. and wife Anita of Prescott, Kansas; Richard Freidline and wife Daisy of Cleveland, Missouri; Russell Freidline of Lone Jack, Missouri; one daughter, Christena Shryock and husband Jimmy of Edmond, Oklahoma; one brother, Wayne Freidline and wife Jean of Claremore, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Garnett, Kansas. Burial will follow at the Garnett Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Crippled Children and sent in care of the funeral home.
