Dale A Stokes

Dale Stokes 60, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 13, 2017. Dale was born on November 21, 1956 in Iola, Kansas to the late Allen and Rose Stokes. He proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force in November of 1977. Dale began his military career as a Munitions System Technician; during his 28 years of active duty service, he was stationed in Guam, Texas, Korea, Florida, Germany, Arizona, England, Texas and Warner Robins, Georgia. Dale was recognized for his meticulous work style and work ethics, which earned him several medals and awards. He retired with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant in November 2005. In his spare time, Dale was an avid coin collector and fisherman. However, his greatest joy came from time spent with his beloved family. Dale was a member of the First Christian Church of Perry. His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 29 years, Helen Stokes of Kathleen; sons, Jason Reed of Kerrville, Texas; Joshua Reed of Federal Way, Washington; sister, Debra Cooper (Dennis) of LaHarpe, Kansas; Diana Collins (Craig) of Longview, Washington; Denise Mentzer (Craig) of Neosho Falls, Kansas, as well as several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Dale A. Stokes to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018.
