Darlene Y. Yocham, 68, of Iola, Kansas, died Saturday, June 9, 2012, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. Darlene was born May 17, 1944, in Iola, the daughter of Clifford R. and Zola B. (Selvidge) Potter. She married Donald R. Yocham on November 6, 1958 and they made their home in Iola. They made their home at Westphalia from 1972 until 1985 when they returned to Iola. Donald preceded her in death on April 5, 2003. Darlene's life centered around her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Community Baptist Church in Iola. SURVIVORS: 1 Son: Donald R. Yocham, Jr. and wife, Donna of Chanute, KS 2 Daughters: Donna Goodner of Iola, KS and Danna Laymon & husband, Kim of Iola, KS 1 Sister: Carol Fowler of Eagle Point, OR 2 Grandchildren she raised: Joe Pilcher and Watonna Parker 5 additional grandchildren 12 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by a son, Britton Matthew Yocham, great-grandson, Levi Bland, 4 brothers, Jerry, Joseph, Clifford and Richard Potter and 3 sisters, Wanda Scheer, Janice Moore and Millie Prock. FUNERAL SERVICE: 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola.
