Darrol Hodge

Darrol Allen Hodge, 63, of Avondale, Missouri, died Saturday, December 20, 2008, at Iola, Kansas. He was born September 21, 1945, at rural Hill City, Kansas, to Willis and Doris L. (Custine) Hodge. Darrol grew up in the Hill City area and graduated from Morland High School at Morland, Kansas. He has made his home in various states in the midwest where he has worked as a Kirby vacuum salesman, a crop duster, a fur trader and an antique dealer. Survivors include: 1 son, Scott Hodge & his wife, Amy of Gladstone, MO His father, Willis Hodge & wife, Sharon of Phillipsburg, KS 1 Sister, Darla (Custine) Beasley & husband, Bob of Clifton, CO 2 Brothers, Richard Maring of Kansas City, MO and James White of Iola, KS 3 Grandchildren, Zachary & Ashley Hodge and Kelsey Roe 2 Uncles, Jerry Custine of Grand Junction, CO and Al Custine of El Dorado Springs, MO He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris L. White, and by a sister, Debbie Shufler. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will be in the LaHarpe Cemetery at LaHarpe, Kansas, at a later date.
