David A. Leitch

David Alexander Leitch II, age 45, of Garnett, Kansas passed away Friday, February 20, 2009 at Garnett. He was born November 21, 1963 at Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Dr. David A. and Alice Mershon Leitch. David graduated from Garnett High School with the class of 1982. He worked as a carpenter and welder. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, but his greatest joy came from his children. He was preceded in death by his mother on March 7, 2007. David is survived by his two children, Alicia and Alex Leitch, of Paola, Kansas; step-daughter, Dawn Prather of California, Missouri; his father, Dr. David Leitch and wife, Faye, of Garnett, Kansas; two brothers, Brad Leitch and wife, Heather, of Leawood, Kansas, and Michael Leitch and wife, Janel, of Prairie Village, Kansas; and his friend, Laurie Geenens, of Garnett, Kansas. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, at the First United Methodist Church, Garnett, Kansas. The family will greet friends following the service at the church.
