David Matthew Zimmerman, age 55, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2020, at KC Hospice House, Kansas City, Missouri.
Dave was born on July 25, 1965, he was the first of two sons born to William Arthur Zimmerman and Juanita (Hilt) Zimmerman. Dave grew up in Fairway, Kansas, graduating from Shawnee Mission East High School. Dave loved music and enjoyed playing guitar, piano, drums, as well as other instruments. Over the years Dave was a member of a few bands, Poets Insane and Merge Left, were two of his favorite musical endeavors. As a music loved Dave liked the blues, rock and soft jazz in his later years. Music was the one thing that connected Dave to many people, who he enjoyed sharing his musical tastes and inspirations with.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Juanita.
He is survived by his brother, Mark Zimmerman of Hutchinson, Kansas.
Dave's friends are planning to gather and honor his life at 6:00 PM, Friday, October 30, 2020, at Don Chilitos Mexican Restaurant, 7017 Johnson Dr, Mission, KS 66202. David will be inurned in the Fairview Cemetery, Mildred at a later date. Condolences may be left at www.feuerbornfuneral.com .
