DeAnne Elaine Delaplain, age 62, of Iola, Kansas, passed away on November 28, 2024 in Chanute, Kansas.
DeAnne was born on March 18, 1962 in Covina, California to Dean and Dorothy (Haen) Delaplain. She was one of three daughters. DeAnne's family moved to Pomona, California in 1963, where she grew up. She graduated in 1981 in Glendora, California.
In 1997, DeAnne moved to Kansas. In Iola, she enjoyed helping the animals at ACARF, helping stock the ACARF second-hand store, and she was a volunteer at the Iola Senior Center Thrift Store.
DeAnne was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her sisters, Debbie (Richard) Muhl and Denise Butler; nephews, Michael and John Muhl, Joshua (Danielle) Butler, and Bradley Curtis; nieces, Roseanne Corban and Katie Curtis; great-nieces, Natalie, Emma, and Aayla; and great-nephews, Nathan, Brody, and Thalius.
The family will be planning a memorial service at a later date. Memorials are suggested to Allen County Animal Rescue Facility (ACARF), and may be left in the care of Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas.
