Delbert Manson

Delbert Manson, age 72, of Pittsburg, Kansas, formerly of McCune, Kansas passed away Thursday, June 17, 2010 at the St. John's Regional Medical Center, Joplin, Missouri. Delbert was born August 31, 1937 at Savonburg, Kansas, the son of Elmer and Bertha (Foster) Manson. He grew up in the Savonburg area and attended school at Elsmore. Delbert was a farmer in the Monmoth area near McCune. He had lived in the Pittsburg area the last fifteen years. Delbert was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Leon Manson. He is survived by his companion, Priscilla Miller of the home; one brother, Voral Manson of Elsmore, Kansas; three sisters, Margie Elliott of Riverside, California, Dorothy Manson of Wichita, Kansas, and Bernadine Weber of Bronson, Kansas; many nieces and nephews and other family. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, June 21, 2010 at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel, Moran, Kansas. Interment will follow in the Swedish Cemetery, Savonburg, Kansas. Mr. Manson will lie in state at the funeral home Sunday from 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be given to help defray funeral expenses.
